There are primarily seven stages in adolescence but they are clearly defined in males as much as they are defined in females. First three stages can be considered as 'early adolescence' while the later four would be considered as 'late adolescence'.
Adolescence is a stage (from 10 years of age to 19 years) in life that acts as a bridge between the childhood and the adulthood. During this stage, individuals go through a series of changes that make them to behave (good or bad) like the way they do which could leave a lasting impression for the rest of one's life.
